Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrive Moshi. Overnight hotel, full kit check and comprehensive trek briefing with your lead guide. Rest day.
Trek begins through lush montane rainforest. Arrive at Machame Camp for dinner and night under the forest canopy.
Exit rainforest into heath and moorland. Cross Shira Plateau with panoramic Kilimanjaro views. Altitude acclimatization walk.
Key acclimatization day — ascend to Lava Tower (4,600m) for lunch, then descend to Barranco Camp (3,960m). 'Climb high, sleep low' strategy.
Exciting Barranco Wall scramble — fixed ropes, dramatic views. Trek through alpine desert to Karanga Camp.
Final push to Barafu — the launch pad for summit night. Early dinner and rest by 7pm in preparation for the midnight departure.
Midnight departure under stars. Steep climb to Stella Point (5,745m), then Uhuru Peak — the Roof of Africa. Certificate presentation. Descend all the way to Mweka Camp (3,100m).
Final descent through rainforest to Mweka Gate. Certificates distributed, tips to crew, transfer back to Moshi hotel.
